Every piece I create is handcrafted with love and attention to detail, so a little extra care will help keep your earrings and bookmarks looking their best for years to come.
Caring for Your Earrings
My earrings are lightweight, durable, and made to be enjoyed, but they do need a little TLC.
- Keep away from chemicals – Avoid contact with perfumes and lotions to prevent damage to the finish and adhesive.
- Store with care – Keep your earrings in a jewellery box or soft pouch to protect them from dust and scratches.
- Handle gently – While durable, polymer clay can break if not properly cared for so please do not bend.
- Clean with ease – Use a damp cloth or a cotton swab with mild soap to remove dirt or makeup stains. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Metal care – I use high-quality, tarnish-resistant materials for my earring hooks and posts, but like all metals, they may naturally develop slight tarnishing over time. If needed, gently polish them with a jewellery cloth to restore their shine.
Caring for Your Bookmarks
My bookmarks are designed to be both beautiful and functional. To keep them in top condition:
- Avoid excessive pressure – Polymer clay is flexible but can snap if bent too much over time.
- Cleaning – If needed, wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. You can use soap and water - this will not ruin your clay piece. Avoid abrasive scrubbing.
- Store thoughtfully – Keep your bookmark in a book or a safe spot to avoid bending.
Extra Love & Care
Since all my pieces are handmade, slight variations and minor imperfections are part of their unique charm. With a little care, your earrings and bookmarks will remain treasured pieces in your collection!
